Cardio-Oncology Switzerland 

About us

Cardio-Oncology Switzerland (COS) was founded in 2019 and became an official section of the Heart Failure Working Group of the Swiss Society of Cardiology in 2025.
COS brings together specialists from various areas of cardiology, including imaging, general cardiology, heart failure and prevention. Close collaboration with oncologists, radio-oncologists, hematologists and other specialists is essential to minimize cardiovascular complications in cancer patients. Through regular webinars and the annual Swiss Brompton Cardio-Oncology Summit, we connect cardiologists, oncologists and related experts, as well as general practitioners and health care professionals from other disciplines with an interest in cardio-oncology to advance clinical practice, knowledge, and research in the field.
Our goal is to improve patient outcomes through interdisciplinary collaboration and education.

Webinars

Every three months, we host a free webinar featuring engaging cardio-oncology cases from across Switzerland, discussed in a multidisciplinary setting. Our goal is to connect cardiologists, oncologists, and other related healthcare professionals nationwide, while sharing the latest updates from the cardio-oncology literature.

 

The webinar takes place every first Tuesday in March, June, September and December from 17:00h to 17:45h. Participation is open to everyone and free of charge.

Congress

In 2024 and 2025, we successfully organized the Swiss-Brompton Cardio-Oncology Summit, a congress featuring a national and international faculty covering the full spectrum of cardio-oncology. We greatly appreciated the participation of Teresa López Fernández, as well as Alexander Lyon and Thomas Suter - the current and former presidents of the ESC Council of Cardio-Oncology - as well as other experts in the field.

From the first to the second year, attendance increased from approximately 40 to around 90 participants and we joined forces with the Swiss Amyloidosis Network (SAN). We anticipate a similar number of attendees at the upcoming Swiss-Brompton Cardio-Oncology Summit, which will take place on 5–6 March 2026 at the Riverside Seminar Center in Glattfelden, ZH.
